Sat Nam, Dear Members of the International Khalsa Council,
As we all know, the Siri Singh Sahib in his lifetime created a multi‐faceted organization. As a Master of
Kundalini Yoga, and the Mahan Tantric, and as the Siri Singh Sahib of Sikh Dharma, the Chief Religious and
Administrative Authority for Sikh Dharma of the Western Hemisphere, he held these realms with vision and
infinite love, and from them grew all the entities which now have become part of his legacy. He created a
holistic structure that would allow us to flourish as we live in service to our collective mission.
He gave us a body of teachings about Kundalini Yoga and White Tantric Yoga, and a system for training and
creating teachers. He taught us about Sikh Dharma and living the Sikh way of life, the values and teachings of
bani, bana, simran and seva. He taught us about group consciousness, established ashram communities
throughout the world, taught us how to live a householder’s lifestyle and raise children who are “strong as
steel, steady as stone”. He taught us the practice of Dasvandh, where we each give one tenth to the Infinite,
and he also wisely and skillfully established Khalsa businesses to support the Sikh Dharma community, sustain
this mission and to “serve the tomorrow”.
It is five years since he left his physical body and we now find the future of his vision threatened. The unity
and integrity of the holistic structure which he established during his lifetime are being eroded. The system of
checks and balances he designed for the authority and management of our Dharmic entities has been and is
continuing to be manipulated unlawfully. The people entrusted to serve our collective mission at the highest
levels of our Dharma, the Unto Infinity Board, also no longer share our lifestyle or mission.
Attempts to resolve the legal and other governance issues with the UI Board have been fruitless. Over the past
year, the Sikh Dharma International Board of Directors was becoming increasingly aware of the activities and
manipulations by the UI Board and the harm caused to Sikh Dharma communities. The Board also was being
threatened by UI’s lawyer with removal of its members and officers. A further threat was made regarding the
removal of continued funding to Sikh Dharma International. The Board considered these threats real,
immediate, and very serious. As it is the Board’s moral duty and legal responsibility to protect Sikh Dharma
International and all that the Siri Singh Sahib built during his lifetime, it became clear that the only viable way
to do this was to legally challenge the actions of the UI Board. Therefore on September 21, 2009 the Sikh
Dharma International Board of Directors filed a lawsuit against Unto Infinity LLC and its Board members.
It took the members of the Sikh Dharma International Board considerable time to come to the reluctant but
firm unanimous decision that this action was necessary. There was not one person on the Board who initially
wanted to embark on a lawsuit. Just as it has taken the Board time, discussion and prayer to understand the
issues and make its decision, we realize that it will take each Sangat member time to learn the facts and form
their own perspective. We respect the right of each person in their own consciousness to come to their own
conclusion about how to best protect and manifest our future. As siblings of destiny, we all share a
responsibility to deliver a unique spiritual destiny on the planet.
In presenting the following information, it is our intention to be transparent and clear about complex issues.
The following information packet contains: Background Information, the Complaint Summary, a section on
Why this Action and Why Now, and includes the supporting documents. Please let us know if you have
questions, or if you would like more clarity. We invite you to join with us to learn and grow in understanding
how, together, we can best serve and protect our sacred Dharma. It is the prayer of the Sikh Dharma
International Board that God and Guru deliver an outcome that will best serve the future for the highest good
of all.
Humbly,
The Sikh Dharma International Board of Directors
